SHELTON, CT - At approximately 7pm on Tuesday, September 7, an injured mountain biker was transported to the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven via Lifestar from the upper field at Shelton High School. The cyclist had suffered serious injuries after falling from a 15 to 20ft drop while riding in Shelton’s Oak Valley Trails. The accident occured at approximately 5:45, and he was found about an hour later. Shelton firefighters and Echo Hose ambulance crews worked together to bring the cyclist out of the woods.
