BRIDGEPORT, CT - At approximately 11:20am on May 12, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 2687 Main Street. First due Engine 12 reported a 2 ½ wood frame structure with apartments over a doctor’s office with heavy smoke showing from the first floor. They immediately had the assignment filled out and encountered heavy fire conditions on the first floor. After an aggressive interior attack, the fire was contained to the first floor.
