BRIDGEPORT, CT - At approximately 4:40 p.m. on May 10, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 67-69 Bennett Street for a structure fire. First in Engine-7 reported a 2 ½ story wood frame occupied residence with heavy fire showing from the second floor B and D sides. The fire had already extended to a couple of rooms on the third floor before the initial attack lines were stretched. An aggressive interior attack had the blaze knocked down within minutes.
