BROOKLYN, NY - A little past 1:00pm on October 19, Brooklyn companies were dispatched to a transformer fire on East 9th Street at Cortelyou Road. Members were forced to wait for the arrival of Con-Ed before they could extinguish the fire. One residence on the street was evacuated due to high carbon monoxide readings in the house.
