BRIDGEPORT, CT - At 7:34am on August 7, the Bridgeport Fire Department received multiple calls for a fire at 704 Colorado Avenue. Once on scene, members found a 2-story wood frame with smoke showing from an A-side window. After forcing entry and a quick search, it was found that nobody was home except for the family dog, which was safely removed from the structure. The fire that ended up being confined to a mattress in a second floor bedroom charged the whole second floor with smoke.
