BRIDGEPORT, CT - Shortly after 11:00 a.m. on April 27, the Bridgeport Fire Department responded to the south end of the city for a working structure fire. First due Engine 3 found heavy fire on the first floor of a 3-decker, located at 239 West Avenue, which was rapidly extending to the second and third floors. The fire involving the house under renovation was put under control in approximately 50 minutes.
