SHELTON, CT - At approximately 1:15am on May 16, Shelton Companies 5, 1, and 3 were dispatched to a report of flames showing in the rear of 200 Leavenworth Road. First in units found this address to be the Adam’s Supermarket located in the White Hills section of the city. The entire interior of the supermarket had smoke banked down to the floor. The source of the fire was a large amount of cardboard and recyclables located outside the rear loading dock. Members stretched attack lines through the front door of the store and found that the fire had slightly extended into the interior of the rear of the store through the loading dock area. The fire is under investigation.
