Helton Creek Falls is located North of Dahlonega about 21 miles on RT 19. You take RT 19 North from Dahlonega about 21/5 miles (past Turners Junction whre 19 makes a left) to Helton Creek Road at Neels Gap. You'll have to look for the road sign as I didn't not see any other real markers to indicate where to go. You make a right onto Helton Creek Road and go about 2.3 miles (about half is paved) to the obvious small parking area where there will be a sign to the falls. The walk is only a few hundred yards and is rather easy walk. The path is well maintained set of steps and paths. There are 2 falls with a viewing platform at the upper falls. The Falls are down in the gap a bit so the temperature was cooler and very comfortable, a very obvious change from up where the parking was, but very welcome!

I would rate these falls a 7 and the difficulty is a 2-3, well worth the visit!
