These images were taken during a rare oppourtnity to attend a Canadian military exercise held at CFB Petawawa located in central Ontario.
This exercise was participated mainly by artillery and infantry troops, the CH-146 Griffon (militarized Bell 412) helicopters performed the roles of tactical airlifting by picking up ground troops and inserting them into the battle ground as dictated by the commanders.

Hi Ken,
Great pictures. I've worked in Petawawa for many yeras and these are some of the best helicopter pictures I have seen in a long time. Too bad you didn't get some arty or infantry pictures (maybe you just haven't posted them).
