American Cancer Society benefit 24 hour walk. The NE Connecticut region has a spectacular record for fundraising during this event-something like 2nd in the nation. Families come, pitch a tent, get the grill going and have someome from their team walking all day and night. Corporate sponsers are also huge contributors and donate much of the necessary food and drink to the walkers. A celebration and time for reflection.
