June 18

Happy Father's Day!

This isn't my Dad, it's Uncle George, who will be publishing his book about medieval knights and the Crusaders, something he's worked on for ~20 years according to his calcuations. One of the chores (I wish they were all this easy) at the Vineyard this weekend was to get some images for the cover. Have lots to go thru but I liked this one. For any MASH (the TV series) fanatics, a bit of trivia. George was the original Father Mulcahey in the pilot episode. He has no children (that he knows of) but he'd make a great Dad.
But since I'm claiming have the greatest Dad, he'll have to get in line.

I actually remember him from the first episode.... Always wondered why they swapped out. Of course I did also love William Christopher.

I like this photo -- his expression is very writerly I think.

Congratulations to you for this warm photo & to your uncle on the book.
M*A*S*H...the all time greatest series. Have lost count of the re-runs I've laughed at like it was the first time !!

I can just see this pic on a dust jacket - very nice indeed. I am in total awe of anyone who has written a book - hearing it takes 20 years makes me feel a tiny bit better. But huge respect to Uncle George.

(Be sure to order a copy of the book for Sue - our history-junkie!)

Karen, this is a wonderful shot for a cover I think also. I like the warm feeling it conveys with his relaxed pose, and the highlight is super. Well done!
I adored M*A*S*H then, and still do today. Please give George my warm reguards, and congratulations on the new book!

Interesting exposure. Those dark eyes just bleed out from my screen. Nicly done Karen.
