Poster size?

Been working on this for a while, and while not technically a PaD (you don't want to see what came out of the camera today) I would really really welcome your thoughts-a compilation from the Leaf By Leaf gallery, thought I'd get it printed up big for my folks since they expressed some interest. If you can give me feed back-is it too much? might be better arranged etc etc I'd very much appreciate it.

My $.02 from the results today: One of my primary and terrifying fears is about the course the Supreme Court membership will take over the next four years. The idea of having a Republican Congress as well as President means 'we' will have to be doing some real work in 2 years when the Senate and Congressional races resume.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Superb work Karen!

Beautiful!!

I'd move the pink in the middle of the second bottom and swap it with the blue in the middle of the second row down. Other than that, this is ready ;-) And, yes, you do need to get organised politically, or I can see the USA moving further and further to the right as the religious right and neo-cons set the agenda.

This is absolutely superb - it is certainly marketable. I would agree about possibly moving one of the pinks; I have a tough time getting the balance of color right sometimes, but I might try moving them so they're at least not on the same row. A beautiful image.
To add my 2 cents to yours, I agree. I had quite a few things at the top of my list of concerns and that one in particular is deeply troubling. We're not talking four years, but lifetime appointments for terms that will last for decades and decades. This is truly momentous, given the curve we have been on.

Wow this is great Karen. Fantastic job on this and I wouldn't change a thing!! Soo much color, I just can't resist looking at it!

I love it. And I think it will make a beautiful poster.

Re: political comment - it's scary isn't it?

BTW, Karen, for quality of print, you might want to check our White House Custom Colorshttp://www.whcc.com/index.html They can print 30" by what ever length. I have not printed anything at this size but have been very impressed by the quality of their work... a top notch company.

Karen this is stunning... one of the better images I've seen today. The crops and color saturation on each of these images are wonderful. Needs a wider ban of white on the bottom with nice flowing font giving this a title. In my opinion this is a poster that could be marketed. My compliments.

You have this incredible talent with leaves and colors Karen. (no wonder...)

Cindy and Liza,
The white strip will be used for the title, have been messing with different font types, but haven't found one with which I've been completely happy. Working also on Bruce's suggestions. Have got an account at dotphoto, their normal prints come out pretty well, so might try them. They're a little less expensive than Shutterfly. Might try both. Thanks for all your input!

Hey Karen... this looks great. I don't care for the white stripe on the bottom, but besides that its fantastic. I was hoping you would do something like this with the shots from that gallery. I have printed up a few of these and I think they make striking posters. I don't think this is too much at all. Where are you getting yours printed?
Guest 04-Nov-2004 04:04
Beautiful
Bryan Murahashi04-Nov-2004 03:55
Very nicely done.
Robin Reid04-Nov-2004 03:07
Very terrific!
Guest 04-Nov-2004 02:26
Way cool. Have you tried playing around with placement, but for an overall gradient effect - like dark to light (darkest on the bottom for "weight"). Even as is - it looks great.
Cindy04-Nov-2004 02:25
This is great Karen, I love it, just one question, what is the white strip across the bottom going to be used for?? Very well done.
Elaine (etfitz)04-Nov-2004 02:19
Gorgeous poster! It is going to be a great gift.
Karen Leaf04-Nov-2004 01:56
Linda, the squares are 4"x4", the size of the originals in the gallery. The size of the poster I'm working with is 20"x30". Had thought about putting more 'white' around each of the frames, but got thinking it might shrink the individual image down too small. Will work on your suggestions, thanks!
Guest 04-Nov-2004 01:45
Karen, This is really spectacular. It would work very well poster size. How large would each square be in that case? My only hesitation comes from the fact that there are so many images (35). It works if one looks at the entire poster as a whole, but if one wants to zero in and look at each individual item, it becomes more difficult to focus on the detail, although that might be because of the constraint on the size it shows at in pbase. Instead of 35, 30 or even 25 might be more manageable for the viewer to browse through the images; I don't know. It might be worth experimenting. But it is really beautiful as is, so I hope this doesn't sound like nit-picking.

Just wonderful, Karen.
Karen Leaf04-Nov-2004 01:02
LOL Breland! (Can almost see your contriteness :)
Guest 04-Nov-2004 00:31
I think this will make a great poster! I'd be real interested in where you have it printed, etc, etc, in case I ever want to do something like this. Not only is this a great idea, it nicely commemorates a very special gallery! I think the arrangement you have is terrific, although I am a man afterall who once wore strips with plaid. LOL

What a brilliant piece of work Karen. The subtle seasonal changes are very visible as you work down the poster.
A lovely gift.

What a wondeful gift that will be!! I wouldn't touch it.
Guest 03-Nov-2004 23:41
I tink it is lovely. I might considering moving one of the pinks to a higher location.
