Ospreys return to the Nashua River downstream from the Tilton St boat ramp! The pair were sitting on the nest tree from two years ago. That nest and last years nest both collapsed over the last two years. I wonder if this is the same pair that nested unsuccessfully in this area last year, or if they're the same pair that Chris Sheridan reported at the other nest, upstream from here in Hollis, NH? Anyway, this nest is a long way from the viewing location, and the photos are poor. But the Ospreys are great, and I even photographed a successful fishing trip.

Also seen today were a Great Blue Heron and 6 Common Mergansers. I'll post photos of them later.
