This gallery contains a few random images and three flight sequences of Ospreys around their nest on the Nashua River above Mines Falls in Nashau, NH. All images were captured handheld from my canoe.
I got onto the river by about 7:45 am at the Tilton Street boat launch. It's a short 5 minute paddle downriver to the Osprey nest in a dead tree at the west end of a reed island in the middle of the Nashua River. I was able to anchor my canoe in the shade on the south side of the river, putting the sun behind me and the birds in good light.
