Vario-Sonnar 4/80-200mm

This lens has almost same length as Vario-Prakticar 80-200/4's,
so their MFDs are similar 1m and 1.1m. Whereas Yashica ML zoom
80-200/4 is much shorter and its MFD is 1.9m in order to cut cost?
This lens was made by Kyocera, who made Contax/Yashica lenses.

According to some info, they all copied the original NIKKOR Zoom
80-200mmF/4.5, no wander they all have similar optical schemes.
