The Statler Hotel

Ellsworth Statler built his first hotel in Buffalo in 1905-08, and when he built his second hotel in Buffalo in 1921-23, the first hotel was renamed the Hotel Buffalo, and the second hotel became the Hotel Statler. The Hotel Buffalo closed in 1967, and was demolished in 1968. It stood at Washington and Swan Streets, on the site of the present baseball stadium.

The second Hotel Statler is pictured here.
