Jeeps

They ride rough, they're noisy, and they get terrible gas mileage. God, I love 'em.

I'll add more as I find them; I may even add some Jeep Wannabe's, like the IH Scouts, the original Ford Bronco, and other interesting 4x4 vehicles.

In 1979, my wife and I were crossing Nebraska on I-80, cruising about 70mph, when a Jeep blew by us, no top, California plates, the blonde passengers' hair blowing in the wind, heading into the setting sun. The image came to represent a freedom and a lifestyle that stuck with me these last 25 years. I finally got a Jeep; my wife is still blonde; someday soon we'll follow the sun.

Nice gallery..I just found a classic 1946 CJ2A which I will restore to factory glory...found on the Arizona desert (which means little rust)..check it out on Lloyd Ewart site, gallery called trips...Lloyd

Love the 79, I have a 79 WT Cherokee S here in Trinidad (Caribbean), its right hand drive converted with the original 360 etc, just about to start a restore on it and your silver pic inspires me, have to deal with the mechanicals first, but the paint job really makes me want to do it right...time and money...thanks for the site.

Your Jeep photos are so cooool. I have cj2a and your photos are so inspirational, there is something fascinating about discarded vehicles, especially jeeps. I can look at my jeep for ages, admire it from different angles and always get the same nostalgic feel mixed with a sense of pride for owning one. Thanks for the great pics. Kin regards - Gavin
