Cambria's Old Spain was originally Laube's Old Spain, then Swiss Chalet used to operate in this space in the 1980's thru 1990's with the interior much the same. Now, I believe it is a college program restaurant that is open during shows at Shea's Buffalo Theatre. (Charles Laube used to be a partial owner of Crystal Beach, along with Charles Diebold who was President of Western Savings Bank, and George Hall, who was operator of Maxine and Capital Theatres, from 1924 under DHL Company Ltd.)

There was also Laube's Old Spain at 11 East Ave. in Rochester.
I came across a menu from 1940. On Sunday, August 11th on of the specials was:
Whole Broiled Lobster, Drawn butter, Coice of Vegitable & Potatoe ~ $0.70 (!)

My wife and I had our honeymoon breakfast at the Old Spain restaurant which was located at 660 Main in Buffalo. We were there on July 29, 1962, the morning after our wedding. We would like to know what happened to it and what is at that location today. We are interested in going back to the site. We still have the two menues that we asked to keep and the staff were kind enough to let us have as a keepsake.

If it is on Main St., it used to be Laube's Old Spain.
