In 1977, while Jennifer was in Nursing school, the federal government offered to pay my tuition if I would get my Master's. It was some sort of Law Enforcement Educational thing; I wasn't thinking of continuing my education, but we had to consider an offer like that. After discussing it, we figured we could pull it off, and I enrolled in the Master's Program at Niagara University. For two years, Jennifer and I were virtual strangers to each other, we both went to school full time, and we both worked full time. And we managed our schedules so that one of us was always with the kids. It's amazing what two people, trusting and depending on each other can do.
