St.Stephan's RC Church, 193 Elk St. Buffalo, NY

In late 2007, St. Stephen's merged with Holy Apostles SS Peter & Paul, SS Rita & Patrick, Precious Blood, and St. Valentine, utilizing the St. Stephen's building and renamed St. Clare.

Just to add to the confusion, Central Presbyterian Church at Main St. & Jewett Pkwy sold its building to Mount St. Joesph Academy in July 2006 and is at present worshiping with its "mother" church, First Presbyterian Church on Symphony Circle. Although a few weeks ago, Central Presbyterian Church did worship with the church whom it gave birth, McAlpine Presbyterian Church on Bailey Avenue. Anyway, sorry about the digression, concerning the organ installed at (Shrine of St. Jude) St. Stephan's RC Church. There is an old wooden model of this organ in the historical hall at First Presbyterian Church. I would very much like to hear this organ played as I am stepping-up to the plate and have begun to update the history for the bi-centennial history of First Presbyterian Church in 2012!

Amplification about the commentary: The organ's builder, Garrett House, was a Buffalonian and it is the oldest Buffalo made pipe organ extant. Also, the original First Presbyterian Church congregation moved to Symphony Circle, where it still worships and is not to be confused with Central Presbyterian.
