The Ford 3.9 L V-8 was produced for only 3 years, from 2002 t0 2005. It was originally produced 252 HP, but after the first year, it was bumped up to 280 HP. It was primarily the new Thunderbird’s engine, however, it was also installed in the Lincoln LS. The 3.9 was a derivative of a Jaguar series of engines, but was built by Ford in Lima, Ohio.
