The Tulane Stadium was built in 1926, and hosted the annual Sugar Bowl. It was the third Tulane Stadium built. It also hosted the Superbowl in 1970, 1972, and 1975. It was The New Orleans Saints home field from 1967 through 1974.
When the Superbowl opened in 1975, Tulane Stadium fell into disuse, with all games and events moving to the Superbowl. Tulane Stadium was demolished in 1980.
