The Coral Court was perhaps the greatest of the iconic Route 66 motels. Located just outside of St. Louis, Missouri, it was built in 1941 and demolished in 1995. Designed in the Streamline Moderne style, it was one of many unique, one of a kind structures that came into being along Route 66.

Tales From The Coral Court by Shellee Graham captures and presents the history of the Coral Court, and it’s place in the history of the times. Everything Coral Court is included, from conception through demolition, in pictures and text. The people, their stories, and the memories. A very well done book, which I believe is out of print and can be hard to find, but worth seeking out.
