At the end of Santa Monica Boulevard is the entrance to the Santa Monica Pier, the symbolic end of Route 66, after 2448 miles from Michigan Ave and Adams Street in Chicago, IL, although it officially ended a couple of blocks away at Lincoln and Olympic Boulevards. Close enough, I guess.
