The road trip. When we were younger, we would take road trips. The summer of '79 we were gone about two and a half months. We both enjoy the adventure of being on the open road. Somehow we got away from it. Work constraints, children's schedules, other interests.
Realizing all this, we decided to do another one, just the two of us in a pickup truck. We left on New Years Day, and headed for the Southwest. New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. We were gone for 40 days.
Something happens when you are alone with someone for that length of time. Uninterrupted conversations are had. Thoughts, ideas, and feelings are shared. Rediscovery. And love grows.
