Still a vital Jesuit parish, about the only place around the diocese that offers confession DAILY, and at least three Masses every single day. To really appreciate the tranquil yet dramatic beauty of this sacred space, you have to move farther up in the nave, where the life size statues and the huge crucifix stand out from the native marble and limestone. But the real beauty of this church is the preaching offered by the Fathers, and the small yet stalwart community of the faithful. If you work downtown, treat yourself to the 5:15 PM Mass and make a blessing of your day.
