Up there is the grade we will soon climb. My mother hates heights so she looks at all the nice pretty waterfalls coming off the mountain side.

On the right side of the bottom of this ravine you see the old trail that supplied the Klondike Gold rush. The trail was replaced by this narrow gauge railroad. A lot of mules and men had walked up that trail.

The white spots on the hillside are mountain sheep. There were lots of them on the hill.

You can see the train below ahead and going back to Skagway. The conductor said they will ride 5000 people up this line today. They run several trains a day and make plenty of money to keep the old equipment repaired.
