Homer Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula

After leaving Seward at the south east side of the Kenai Peninsula, I traveled to Homer Alaska. Homer is the farthest west you can drive in the United States. There are towns west of Homer but you can only fly or take a boat to those towns. Homer is 221 miles west of Anchorage on the south shoreline of the Cook Inlet. The site of Homer as it comes into view is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The pictures do not come close. There are pictures of the Kenai River and but most of the Salmon shots were taken on the Russian River, a tributary of the Kenai River.
