Sacred Niches are a rocky escarpment with a series of hewn niches. We know that statues of the deity were placed in these niches by depictions of such on coins of the city. The sacred niches are just to the right of the Grotto of Pan.

A "Coney" jumping around on the rocks and the stone of the Temple of Pan. The "Coney" is a muskrat. I remember Gila, our Israeli guide calling them a rock rabbit.
