Second Calving Sequence at Hubbard Glacier

This is the second Calving Sequence at Hubbard Glacier. We were very blessed on our visit to the largest glacier in Alaska. The wind for 3 days blew ice near the glacier out to Sea. The captain was able to maneuver the ship to less than a mile from the glacier, which is extremely close. The Hubbard is 600 feet high with 350 feet above the water. It was an unbelievable experience. More so when you realize how big the wall of ice is.
