A day of Ordination for young teenagers, as they will spend a season in the Temple to honor both the Buddha and their parents. This one was very special because they followed the custom of Shan novices, being dressed in the floweriest manner, while being paraded around town atop caparisoned elephants. As it happened in April, a few days before the water festival of Sonkgran, much water soaking happened during the parade.
