This site was taken over by the federal government in 2004, making it the second underwater national park. They have created an exceptional site for divers - showers, change rooms, displays, and a dive shop in the same building. The entries to the water have been built up nicely so that steps that were difficult and uneven are filled in with concrete and wooden paths have been built to those rocky steps. Too bad they couldn't have installed a heater!!! The water was exceptionally chilly, magnified by the strong currents of the St. Lawrence river.
The marine life is close to what is seen in the Bay of Fundy - but the coverage is not as dense and fish species were difficult to find.
