The Bluenose Cat Club of Halifax, Nova Scotia, held a cat show with five judges over Easter weekend in 2006.
This was Clancy's one opportunity (because there's no way I'm doing it again!!) to win a ribbon and he performed wonderfully. A Best in Breed, two Second Best in Breed, five Best in Color (did I mention he was the only red abby there?), and one Finals rosette (3rd Best Short Hair Alter Cat) earned him the title of Champion!!
Apparently personality and cooperative nature do not play a part in ribbons, as there was much hissing and attempts to run from the judge by most cats, not just Clancy.
Where Clancy spent the majority of his day - snoozing in the litter box!!
Being Judged for the first time
Being cooperative
Paying attention to the toy
Pole Dancing
Quietly sitting in his judging cage
Hello, who are you?

What are you doing, lady?
Finals - 3rd Best Short Haired Alter Cat - and he won a bag of cat food!!!!
It's the end of the day and he's really cranky now!!
