In August 2005, six of us travelled to Rimouski to dive the Empress of Ireland.

These are some shots taken over the 2 days of diving the Empress of Ireland. Note that the vast majority are above-water. We had two superbly calm days - the water was eerily flat. But the visibility was quite low - even Dany St-Cyr ("King of the Empress") was hoping for better visibilty after the first day.

The first day, I took my camera down without the strobe to minimize bulkiness. These are the photos from that day. Don't say I didn't warn you that they were very below-standard photos!!!!

The second day, I took the strobe, but the visibility is so low in these waters that the strobe sensor could not see the camera's internal flash go off!!! This water kills light like crazy!!!
