January 20

London

A such a relieving place!

To answer a question Ann LT asked me yesterday about my PAD,
yes, people sees me taking pictures and I do stand and wait.
When I find an interesting place, I stand or sit, stick my eye in the viewfinder,
frame and wait until something happen.
People pass by me, they don't really care about me because I don't move.
Sometimes like yesterday or today in the Victoria Train Station,
I had to wait a long time (about 10/20 mins) because there were too many people.
You can't even start to imagime how many people goes to the toilets...
Also I take a lot a pics, sometimes up to 50 and usually only one is good enough.
Voila! that's how I like doing those kind of shots.

This shot is not perfect because
1. it's not sharp enough everywhere,
2. the man should have been a tiny bit more on the right.
3. I don't like that he carries a bag and the color of his shoes.
I am not picky... :)

Now, I got to go to bed, I'll catch up tomorrow...

You're way too picky. This is an excellent shot, full of expression. (What will I be today, a man, a woman, handicapped, or will I just take a shower?)

Thanks for the ideas on shooting. I must try this.
1 shot out of 50? No wonder my shots are so pedestrian.. I usually post nearly every thing I shoot.

J'aime beaucoup l'image, je partage l'avis de plusieurs personnes qui ont déjà écrit ici (composition, qualité du noir et blanc, humour...)
Merci aussi de nous parler de ta manière de faire... J'apprends ;-)

I love how you have framed this shot with the signs dominating the top of the image.
Were you hoping that someone would come along who had been 'caught short' and just vaulted over the barriers? ;-)

To be honest Werner, I never have a specific idea in my mind of what I'm going to do.
Usually, it's an evolution of tries, accidents, experiments and ... some luck.

Elle est vraiment excellente! J'aime sa composition et son humour.

I assume he is on the way to take a shower ;o)
Your explanation how you take those shots is VERY interesting for me. Often I have the oportunity to take a shot, but I`m not cool enough to do it! Very tricky! Thanks for the lesson Kim!

Yes sometimes it´s hard to get the right picture, when you already have your perfect version in mind before.

Thanks for sharing,Kim. I'm learning from you. It's kinda hard when you have kids pulling you opposite directions. hehe
I've got to find some time ALONE one of these days.
This is an interesting shot too. Did you notice women go to the toilets far more then men?
