Lacock Village, Abbey (1232), Gardens and Cloisters National Trust.
William Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877) was a former resident of Lacock Abbey.
In 1835, he made the earliest known surviving photographic negative on paper
and is considered to have discovered the negative/positive photographic process.
It was a beautiful day today and I have been doing some tourism around Bristol with a friend.
A nice Sunday lunch in Castle Combe then the visit of Lacock village and Abbey.
