We took a family beach vacation to Hunting Island, SC in July 2008. Hunting Island is a small island that is a state park off the coast of SC between Charleston and Hilton Head. There are only a dozen or so older houses and some state cabins on the island, with no commercial buildings of any kind, so it is very quiet and peaceful. Our family was joined by Darren's parents, Carol and Jack, and our niece Jenna. The two girls in particular had a great time riding the waves and playing on the beach, while David enjoyed "crashing" the sand castles with his cars.
