We had 3 straight days of thunderstorms. On this day, there were 4 sighted water spouts in the gulf and various bays in the Tampa Bay area. I was "lucky" enough to be in the middle of this one. As I drove across the Causeway, I hoped to outrun the spout before it hit land. Going east on the Causeway, the spout was on the north side. Coming back, the spout had made it across the Causeway and gotten much bigger and stronger. Most of the traffic pulled to the side of the road to watch. Not necessarily the smartest thing to do. I grabbed a few quick snaps and got out of there for fear the spout would come ashore (which then makes it a tornado). The time was 11:35AM.
