Tai Tam Country Park is at the eastern corner of Hong Kong Island. There are four reservoirs in Tai Tam Country Park. They are Tai Tam Upper Reservoir, Tai Tam Byewash Reservoir, Tai Tam Intermediate Reservoir and Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir. These reservoirs were built between 1889 and 1917. The park occupies about one fifth of Hong Kong Island's land area.
