It was the 17th B929 Jetfoil which built by Boeing Marine Systems in October 1980. In Year 2000, Tokai Kisen Co. bought this Jetfoil as its fifth operator.
The B929 Jetfoil is powered by two Rolls-Royce Allison 501KF gas turbines.
