Saiko Iyashi no sato Nenba

Originally, Lake Saiko Nenba was a village near the Saiko Lake. Unfortunately, many of houses were damaged by cyclone in 1968. All existing 12 thatch houses were rebuilt in 2003. These thatched houses could provide you a feeling of "stepping into the old Japanese village". The place may be one of the most beautiful thatched roofing houses village in Japan.

From 2003, the Lake Saiko, Nenba became a cultural museum. It is for demonstrating the traditional Japanese arts and crafts. There are twelve thatched roof houses in this rebuilt village. All of these houses were designed individually. Each house is for showing different kind of arts and crafts.

Do you know that which thing attracted me to visit Lake Saiko, Nenba?
Is the rebuilt thatched roof houses? May be, but not the all. Yes! That is the scene of Mount Fuji.
