Making the most of an expected warm(ish) winter's day some friends and I decided to hike Pat Sin Leng (八仙嶺) located in the north-eastern part of the New Territories. Pat Seng Leng is actually a range of mountains near Plover Cove Reservoir which towers over the tiny towns below (around 500m about sea level).

With our trusty guide leading (yes, Tony again) the group of us started from Tai Po and bus'ed to Tai Mei Tuk near our start point. From there we headed around the "back" of Pat Sin Leng for the ascent to our first peak - Hsien Ku Fung. A few photos, lunch, and desserts later, we made our way through the remaining seven (or so) peaks that make up this range. After deciding to not take the short cut back down towards Tai Po, we took the scenic route to Lai Pek Shan and down to Luk Keng and the awaiting tofu dessert and mini bus back to civilization (btw, I didn't get to eat any dessert this time round).
