On April 4, 2012 I attended Humber College in Toronto, ON to see the Humber College Studio Jazz Ensemble perform a concert with the addition of 9 strings to the big-band. Also this night featured the, "national treasure," "Guido Basso," on the flugel horn performing with the big-band in the first half of the show. The second half of the show recreated the music from Guido's Juno award winning album, "Lost In The Stars," that featured a 12-piece string section, with rhythm section, all arrangements by the great Phil Dwyer from Vancouver Island.
