On April 4, 2012 I attended Humber College for a concert that featured the Humber College Studio Jazz Ensemble, led by Denny Christianson, and featured the, "National Treasure," "Guido Basso,"--the great flugle horn player that was featured for years with, "Rob McConnell," and The Boss Brass!! The first half of the show featured the Humber Studio Jazz Ensemble, and the second half featured a 12-piece string section with rhythm section that recreated Guido's album, "Lost In The Stars," that won a Juno award. Phil Dwyer did all the arrangements for the second half of the show that featured the strings with Guido. It was a spectacular concert!! All images by: Norm Johnstone © 2012
