I notice some good fish rising in the “back eddy” just across from the campsite – tie on a Green Drake and promptly latch onto a 15” ‘er. Then notice a rise up from the current, flat water… I watch as the fish comes up – big white month – and whammo, I’m hooked up with healthy 18” ‘er! (film runs out!). Head down, but nothing happening at the confluence with Nice Creek, or on Nice Creek itself! Back to the eddy pool, lo & behold I manage to catch the 18” ‘er (#00033 on his tag) once again on Green Drake – he’s not surprisingly somewhat subdued. That’s enuff for me, I head out at about 3:30. Lots of people out this weekend, lots of fishermen too, although the guys I talk to on Sunday haven’t had much luck (Dad and 3 kids have zero!) – windy day, somewhat cooler.
