It was a miserable night in the cramped tent – rain, poor sleep, bad dreams… it’s all washed away though when I crawl out at 9 a.m. to a bluebird sky and the good ol’ N. Ram. One last trip to prodigious pool, and sure enuff I go one for three at 9:30 a.m. in 45° water. 10” ‘er too! Decide to head up from the Forestry Trunk road, to where trail fords the river. Everything looks great, even a hatch of mayflies (Slate Creams?) but zero action. Oh well, where else to try but the White Cabin stretch.
