Tar and I get out “early” i.e. 11:00 a.m., and there are good numbers of BWO’s in the air. The first riser I see shows no interest in the Elk Hair Caddis, so I switch to BWO – first cast results in a fine 3 # ‘er. I get a couple more close calls, but no more fish in the net. Guy from Edmonton! Nets a nice fish upstream; duck/goose hunter stops to observe and chat for a bit. I take off about 2:00 for a look at Dickson Pond – not encouraging – algae covered and nary a rise.
Note: John S. goes out Sunday morn at 7:00 a.m. and the browns are already rising! No luck, tho – what are they eating?
