Vic B. says Summitt Lake got winter killed! I should have phoned ahead….all rivers high and off-colour in Central and Southern Alberta – snow pack was reported at 140% of normal this year, so we knew this was coming. The Elbow is muddying the Bow, the Oldman is big and dirty. Anyhow, Vic sez the boys having been getting some big ones at Dipping Vat, so off I go. I get sorta lost, although get a look at the Wateron and Belly Rivers (Bob S. fishes the Waterton between the reservoirs) – they’re high and muddy too…the wind is howling so I watch and wait at this Prairie reservoir near HillSpring – nothing/ doin’, the wind keeps blowin’ and I finally leave at dark without wetting a line.
