Court at Innisfail, breakfast @ Caroline, on the Creek @ 1:30 – real windy day, see a few Salmonflies both in air and on water, also a few Golden Stones, but nothing happens until the Beaver Trap Pool, when switch from Elk Hair Salmon to Golden Fluttering Stone – catch nice 13” brown (fairly hot) on 3rd cast. Miss quite a few, including one vice unit – but only land a couple more small ones. Fish up to Ming’s cabin. Must try further up sometime. Starts to rain, fart around with the brookies in the Beaver Dam down from Olsen’s, miss a few, supper @ Robert’s cabin (Prairie Creek venison) – reports that Scammell’s been haunting O’Keefe’s place lately – 22” ‘er on PMD nymph.
