Leave the office early, off to Prairie. Arrive at Qually’s stretch about 2:30, run into Robert and a guy from T.V. Calgary. Clear and sunny, but the salmonflies are happening (altho pretty sparse hatch). Catch a couple 10-12” ‘ers in the first half hour, miss a couple more (all elk hair salmon). Robert has tangled with a ½ dozen fish on Scammell’s stretch. Kenneth has been out all week, but slow action. Prairie is stained but fishable. Catch one more little guy on the way back to the bridge. Later that evening, fish Fuhrer’s stretch with Robert and miss a couple. Good mayfly presence but nothing rising. Water 57°.
